What is a leasehold property?
A leasehold property is a flat or maisonette purchased by the tenant from Soha (or prior to 7 July 1997 from South Oxfordshire District Council). The property is on a long lease of up to 125 years. You own the leasehold but Soha remain the freeholder of the land and building.
Your lease gives you the right to live in the property for the term of your lease but you may sell the flat during that time. To find out more, please use the buttons on the right hand menu, or download the Leaseholder's Handbook
