Do I have to arrange insurance for my flat?
As landlord, we are responsible for insuring the building. You contribute towards the costs through your annual service charge.
Buildings cover does not however cover your contents. Leaseholders are advised to take out separate contents insurance to protect their personal possessions.
Tip: Make sure that your insurer is aware that you do not require buildings cover otherwise you may end up paying for cover that you don’t need.
