Who is responsible for repairs?
Your responsibilties
You are responsible for maintaining anything inside your flat and anything that only serves your flat, including:
- the surface of the floors in the flat above the floor joists or other supporting floor structure
- the ceiling of your flat up to, but not including, the joists or other supporting floor structure or beams which the ceiling is attached to
- the surfaces of all walls, windows and doors inside your flat, and your front door and the doorframe
- all pipes, cables, and so on that serve only your flat
- the central heating system

Our responsibilities
Soha is responsible for repairing the structure and exterior of the building. This includes:
- the load bearing elements of the building
- roof
- foundations
- shared drains
- sewers (unless they have been adopted)
- communal TV aerial equipment
- communal areas this includes the boundary fence around the block but not the individual garden fences
