Housing Benefit and other financial support
Soha is an independent landlord and is therefore not responsible for any benefits including Housing Benefit.  These are the responsibility of your local authority.  For most tenants this will be South Oxfordshire District Council.  It is important that you apply for benefits that you qualify for as soon as possible.  In most cases Housing Benefit is paid direct to Soha, so getting it sorted will mean you won't have to worry.

Housing Benefit Surgeries
If you feel you need help or advice to tackle outstanding Housing Benefit or rent issues, we periodically arrange a series of Housing Benefit Surgeries in partnership with South Oxfordshire District Council. Please call Soha on 01235 515 900 (from a mobile) or free phone 08000 14 15 45 (from a landline) to speak to your Rental Income Officer to arrange an appointment at a joint surgery.
