Housing Benefit and other financial support

Soha is an independent landlord and is not responsible for any benefits. These benefits, including Housing Benefit, are the responsibility of your local authority. For most tenants this will be South Oxfordshire District Council. It is important to apply for benefits that you qualify for as soon as possible. In most cases Housing Benefit is paid directly to Soha, which means that once your application has been approved you won't have to worry.

For more information on housing and other benefits, please telephone South Oxfordshire District Council on 0845 6122422 or visit their website at www.southoxon.gov.uk.

Housing Benefit Surgeries

If you feel you need help or advice to tackle outstanding Housing Benefit or rent issues, we periodically arrange a series of Housing Benefit Surgeries in partnership with South Oxfordshire District Council. Please contact Soha to speak to your Rental Income Officer, or to arrange an appointment at a joint surgery.

You can call Soha for free on 0800 014 1545 from a landline. If you call from a mobile please dial 01235 515 900. Calls from mobiles will be charged at your normal network rate.
