Soha provides a Floating Support service. This is a practical service that offers guidance, information, and assistance and support to enable people to maintain their homes and independence. It may last only a few weeks, or up to two years, depending on the support needed. Floating Support can be offered to people wherever they live, or within their own community.
Soha works in partnership with a charity called PACT (Parents And Children Together), which has experience in supporting children and families.
Floating Support can include any of the following:
- Help with claiming benefits and budgeting
- Maintaining the safety and security of your home
- Family support
- Help to access social and leisure activities
- Counselling and emotional support
- Help with finding employment and accessing training
- Help to access other agencies: e.g. support for families affected by domestic violence
