The AFA group of tenants recently held its annual open day for Soha’s disabled tenants at Chinnor. Invitations were extended to those living in the surrounding areas, and approximately twenty attended.

Access for All tenants

The day was organised by members of AFA group, who also gave several of the presentations and various discussion groups.

We were also joined by guest speakers, Hannah Ensor, a disabled writer and illustrator and by Max and Ziggy, two dogs for the disabled who brought along their owners Sue and Bryon, they gave us a talk on the training and work of the dogs, who in turn gave demonstrations of their abilities in helping their owners in their daily lives.

The day also enabled the group to obtain tenants views to help in forming the priorities for the Single Equality Scheme, which will shape Soha’s actions in the coming year.

The day ended with a prize draw, with all of the prizes being donated by the AFA group members.
