The Lettings Process
On receipt of the provisional offer letter from your Lettings Team, you will be contacted by phone to arrange a viewing at the property during office hours.
If the property is not ready for viewing, your offer letter will state a date from when viewings will be organised.
Once you have seen the property, we will arrange for you to visit our office in Didcot to sign the paperwork and collect the keys. You will be required to pay 2 weeks rent or charges towards the property at this meeting.
This appointment will take about 1 hour and the Housing Officer (Lettings) will explain the terms and conditions of your tenancy agreement.
Please ask questions about anything you don’t understand, as this is a legal document and you must make sure you are aware of your obligations as a tenant. It also sets out Soha Housing’s role as your landlord. You will be given a Welcome Pack to keep your paperwork in safely.
Within your first week of moving in, we will call you to complete our Moving-in Survey. This will only take a few minutes and will help us to ensure that we are continuing to give excellent customer service. We will arrange to visit you in your new home a few weeks after moving in to check that you are settling in.
