Buying your home is an important financial commitment, so make sure you think carefully before you decide.
Things to consider before you buy your home:
- Once you have bought your home you will become responsible for all the costs of maintaining your home, including all repairs and improvements
- You will not be able to claim Housing Benefit to help with the costs of paying a mortgage
- Your home may be at risk if you do not maintain your mortgage payments
