Tenancy Conditions

If you break any conditions of your tenancy, Soha can take legal action which means you could lose your home. Before taking action we will talk or write to you, to try to sort out the problem.

In some circumstances we will go to court to resolve serious issues. We may take out injunctions, which are court orders telling you to do or not do something.  If we take you to court, the Judge will decide if we can take possession of your home.  This will be based on the seriousness and evidence of the case.

Examples of breaking your tenancy conditions :
  • Not paying your rent
  • Playing very loud music
  • Carrying out improvements without written approval
  • Not keeping your garden in a tidy and reasonable condition
  • Threatening, abusing or being violent to our staff or our contractors
  • Abusive, threatening behavior by you or your visitors to others in the area
  • Not living in the property permanently
