Tenants' Forum

Soha’s Tenants’ Forum voted  to become Soha’s new Members’ Forum on 6th September. Existing Tenants’ Forum members will become the first members of the new Members’ Forum until its AGM in April 2019. If you are a member and would like to consider standing for the Members Forum, please contact us.

Between now and then elections will be run in which all eligible members will be able to both stand for election and vote. Those people who are elected will then form the new Members’ Forum from April onwards. The Tenants’ Forum asked for the transition period to be extended until the new date of the AGM in April 2019 to enable further recruitment of new members. This means that more members will have the opportunity to vote and stand in the elections for the 15 places on the Members’ Forum.

The new Members’ Forum will:

  • Represent the views of all tenants
  • Be elected by Soha members in April 2019. Residents who have signed up as formal Soha members may also stand for election
  • Be 15 people instead of 21 to allow better debate and focus
  • Offer other residents opportunities to be involved, for example in Tenant Scrutiny, Audit or on the Board

If you’re a member and would like to stand for election please get in touch.
