Our story

Our story began in 1997 when local council housing tenants in south Oxfordshire voted to transfer their homes to Soha. Over 5,000 homes were moved over to the new organisation.

After the transfer, we took time to improve the condition of the properties we’d taken over. Once we’d brought our homes up to standard, we then started to build more.

We now have over 6,600 homes – including social housing, shared homeownership, sheltered housing and extra care facilities. Read more about us in our brief summary.

In 2015 we celebrated our 2,000th new home.
