Helpful hints for candidates

When you complete your application:

  • make sure you read carefully the advert and job description so you’ve got a clear idea of the main things we’re looking for.
  • make sure your relevant experience, and anything you want us to know about you, is included on your application. That way we can easily see how your skills match what we’re looking for.
  • remember – your skills are transferrable. You may not have done the job you’re applying for, but you may still have relevant skills, knowledge and experience from other jobs or from other aspects of your life.
  • make sure you fully complete the equality and diversity monitoring form so that we have all the information we need.

At the interview

Interviews can be nerve-wracking, but we want you to do well and we’ll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable..

  • When you’re answering a question, if you have a relevant real example, tell us about it.
  • If you have knowledge, skills or experience that you think are really important to the role, make sure you tell us.
  • Interviews are a two-way process. If you want to know more about the job or about Soha, please ask. It can help if you make a note of any questions you may have, before you arrive.
  • We guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for any of our vacancies. Please let us know if we can make any special arrangements to make your visit easier.
  • After the interview, if you’re not successful, we’ll write to you and let you know. You can also ask us for feedback by contacting the HR team.
