We know that you enjoy attending events and activities run by local charities or community-based organisations. Many of these agencies also offer free, specialist advice and information to older people.

Age UK

Age UK Oxfordshire provides services for older people throughout the county. Whether you’re an older person or care for an older person as a friend or relative, they have a range of services offering practical help and support.

Alzheimer's Society

Citizens Advice 

For advice on pension credits, benefit entitlements, or even power of attorney, Citizens Advice is a good place to start.

Energy Saving Trust

Message in a Bottle 

This scheme is a simple idea for people living on their own. You can use any bottle and a piece of paper, or ask at your local health centre or chemist. Fill the form in with your basic personal and medical details – then just leave your bottle in the fridge so it can be found in an emergency.
