Membership is open to Soha Housing's tenants who have a full tenancy, leaseholders and shared owners. Those on starter tenancies can apply after they have converted to a full tenancy.

I agree to be bound by the rules of Soha Housing and all policies and procedures published by the Board in accordance with those rules. I also agree to act at all times in the interests of Soha Housing and for the benefit of the community. I agree to uphold the values of Soha Housing. I confirm that, to the best of my knowledge, I meet the eligibility criteria to become a Member of Soha as follows:

- I am over 18 years old.
- I have not previously been expelled as a Member.
- I have not been removed from the Board by resolution of the Board or Members.
- I am not receiving treatment for a medical condition which, in the opinion of a registered medical practitioner, would make me incapable of exercising my rights as a Member and might remain so for more than 3 months.
- I have not been convicted of an indictable offence which is not, or cannot be, spent.
- I have not been convicted of any other offence which, in the opinion of the Board, might bring Soha into disrepute, or is incompatible with the role of a member.
- I am not a party to any legally binding debt arrangement or an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) and I am not currently bankrupt or subject to a Bankruptcy Restriction Order.
- I am not in breach of my tenancy agreement or lease.

I understand that I am required to pay £1 (per applicant) to finalise my membership application.

pay in person at Soha's office.
pay by direct debit. This option is only available if you have an active direct debit with Soha. The payment will be collected separately from your rent on or just after the 15th of the month following your application date.
pay via credit or debit card over the phone. Please contact me.

Date

Please allow up to six to eight weeks while we process your application. We reserve the right to defer a decision on your application in the case of an on-going dispute. The deferral has no bearing on the outcome of any dispute.

Please not that your membership cannot be effective until you have paid £1. If your application unsuccessful, your £1 will be refunded to you. If it is successful, the £1 becomes the property of Soha Housing and will not be refunded if your share is ended.

Soha is bound by current Data Protection legislation in relation to any information you supply.
